DD is 17 and has always been on the heavier side and is also pretty tall. Most of her friends are shorter than she is, and they are all skinnier. From what she told me, the girls were all trying on clothes in the dressing rooms at BM and while DD was trying on a shirt, the fabric ripped because it got stretched out. She said she tried to play it off, but her friends and the person working there all saw. She had to pay for it and didn't buy anything else.

I feel sick that she had to experience this. She eats whole foods and plays a varsity sport. Genetically, she is just predisposed to having some extra weight in her arms and stomach. She keeps insisting she's fine, but I know that she wouldn't have told me about the incident if she truly were.

I don't know how to make her feel better about this. I wish stores like this wouldn't exist.[/quote]
