Vaccines had only been available for the age group Diaz was teaching for three months, and vaccines were still not at all available for younger siblings at the time that Diaz was willing to just skip first period rather than wear a mask. Abdicating her responsibility to educate the children in her care, just to avoid wearing a mask, is absolutely not the mindset we want on the Board of Education. [/quote]
