Ok, good for you, OP. I don't hate women in their 40s but I'm 39 and certainly don't get mistaken for a high school or college student anymore. Some of us do look our age. And that's fine.
+1. I'm 45. I don't look in my 20s nor would I want to. I find it highly unlikely that someone mid-40s would actually be mistaken for a 20 something. Maybe early 30s? But perhaps people forget what a 20 something actually looks like when you get to 40. After all, it was 20 years ago. Skin always gives it away, no matter how thin you are. Women, don't strive for 20. It's completely normal to age gracefully.
This. I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve been truly shocked by someone’s age, and it’s always either a black woman or an Asian man lol. Everyone else truly looks their age or within 5 years no matter what they think. And the procedures when done too young are aging. The best things you can do are to maintain fitness and then focus on skincare and sleep. You can look good for your age but you won’t look decades off! That said, plenty of younger men love older women because we are confident and could care less about checking any boxes at that point!
