Wording's a bit vague, and I'm not Catholic, but I think almost any a theistic religious person can agree to pray for Donald Trump at soul. No matter what you think of him, he's a major figure at the moment, and the course of his life affects all of us. Trusting God with a prayer to move Trump to a better position is a religiously a good thought.
I am a Catholic and unless he is on his deathbed it’s against the rules and since Catholics are all about rules whoever sanctioned this should be immediately removed.
A Mass intention may be requested for a Mass for: a deceased loved one; a living person who is sick or suffering; a living person who is celebrating a birthday, anniversary or other special moment in their life; in thanksgiving to God (including the Lord Jesus or the Holy Spirit); in thanksgiving for a prayer from a Blessed or a Saint; or for a prayer intention (so long as the intention does not contradict Church teaching). "Special moment" is a loose one. "whoever sanctioned this should be immediately removed" How Christlike is that?
