This may vary by circumstance, but there are new kids all the time. And friendships change all the time. Speaking from experience, a few different kids were new to AAP or maybe principal-placed each year. I would not skip applying for social reasons, personally. ] I thought Principal placed kids cant move to middle school only the committee placed kids can . Now it seems nothing makes the difference . we all put lots of research in DCUM for all the AAP samples and other stuff but the Principal placed kids or the kids whose PTA parents do all stunts to make them principal placed are enjoying the back gate in AAP.
But you’re also acknowledging that your own child was admitted because you put in the work as a parent… you took a back gate too, just a few years earlier
FYI - Parent referral is a process in place by the AAP committee . They are also extending till 7th grade . Is there a process - principal placement by committee ? . OP here and all the parents in DCUM are all about committee placement . This forum is dedicated for parents like us . Unlike you idiots who always take shortcuts and back stages . You put zero efforts in your kids just do some donations to school and try to cut the hard work.
