This is the breakdown of non-hispanic AA population by political ideology: 29% Conservative (!) 43% Moderate 24% Liberal This is the breakdown of how they voted in 2004: 89% Democrat 11% Republican So the party is only winning about 1 black voter for every 3 conservative blacks, and only one black voter for every 6 conservative/moderate blacks. Clearly, a large number of Black voters are selecting the Democratic party despite their stated ideological differences. The only plausible reason for this is that they find the Republican party unacceptable. What's the alternative? [/quote]
