For a variety of reasons I won’t go into here, we are hoping to have a boy as our second child. We don’t think we will need IVF but of course we don’t know if that is the case because we haven’t started trying yet. Are there any ways to tip the scale in favor of having a boy? I’ve heard about the Shettles method. What about sperm sorting?
If you want a boy and only a boy I wouldn't try. If it is a girl it sounds like you will treat her differently and she will know you don't love her. Is your first a girl? Is that why you want a boy?
This, but for either gender. If you only want a daughter or only want a son, you shouldn't try for a child because there's no guarantee. And there's a certain amount of maturity needed for parenting, the absence of which can be seen in a focus on the ideal family gender makeup of your dreams and treating anything else as a mistake or problem.
