Practice writing, writing the essays quickly and effectively is probably a thing you can improve through practice.

If you have the time and resources, engage in some sort of stem related activity so they have something to write about.

Astronomy, botany, birdwatching, robotics, science olympiad, math counts, something that demonstrates a prior interest in stem[/quote]
