I think that Dyslexia is not considered a medical issue its a LD and therefore is not covered by health insurance. I would check if the insurance would even cover this type of testing. Good Luck
The places that take insurance are the children's hospitals: Children's National, Kennedy Krieger, etc. But I don't think any of them have experience with dyslexia testing because it's so unusual for insurance to cover academic testing. What does she want the diagnosis for? A diagnosis of ADHD is enough to register with disability services and talk to them about accommodations, which could include accommodations for difficulty/slow reading (audiobooks, etc.) If she wants to do reading tutoring she can, even without an official diagnosis.
Depends on how long ago the testing was done and if any accommodations were used in HS. You can't just pop into college asking for disability accommodations from being diagnosed when you were 6 and not having an IEP in HS.
