She likely would feel out of place at a goldfish-type place. Those cater to younger kids. In Fairfax county, the rec centers offer once a week stroke mechanics classes that are pretty good. I'm sure MoCo/DC/Loudoun etc have something similar.
MoCo used to have KSAC, it's closed. RSFC doesn't offer stroke and turn clinics. They have 8 week courses, but they are kind of difficult to register for they fill up within minutes of opening. Olney might have a clinic. Also likely booked by this point in the season. People say it's all fine with KSAC closing all of MoCo can just use RSFC, but it isn't.
KSAC was just one center and a new one just opened in downtown Silver Spring so some of the displaced capacity shifted there for now. There are also the existing other centers in Germantown, Olney, and MLK(also in Silver Spring off New Hampshire). There are options at the Y in Bethesda and Silver Spring and programs at private locations like Prep, SR, HA, etc. Here are a few options: MoCo: https://mdmontgomeryctyweb.myvscloud.com/webtrac/web/splash.html?ccode=splashaquatic Rockville: https://www.rockvillemd.gov/398/Swim-Fitness-Center FINS: https://finsswimming.com/ JFD: https://www.jfdolphins.com/page/system/classreg-shopping
