It's not normal, no matter what he will tell you, to have so much on a daily basis, if you're not actively sick, that you must expel it like this. I suspect he also may have developed a habit of "needing" to spit and now believes it's normal and if he doesn't do it, he'll be "choking" on it or whatever. That's a learned habit based on a condition he needs to get treated. Dry that stuff up with a decongestant. See a doctor. [/quote]
