If you’re that exhausted, then you need to wean. You think it’s good for bonding, but I promise there are other ways to bond. And I also nursed past 18 months so I’m not opposed to extended BFing at all. But an exhausted mom is not good for ANYBODY. I know this post is about diet, but I’m looking out for your well-being. It’s time to wean. I promise your little one will be ok.
Thank you. I’m actually more exhausted by my middle schoolers and BTS!!! And just work and having three kids. I like BFing and will prob keep doing it for a bit. I do really struggle to lose weight while BFign and just in general. I only gained 25-30 lbs for all of my pregnancies and never lost the last 5-10 for each one, which is why here I am, up around 30 pounds. Sigh.
You should definitely do what you feel is right, but this internet stranger is giving you permission to wean whenever you are ready, and that includes before your little one seems ready. Take care of yourself! :)
