The younger is now starting full on recorder class. We didn't want to buy another and run the risk of having two going in the house at the same time so elected to skip the school purchase and have them share. Our school's music teacher flipped on hearing that my younger is sharing and using her older sister's recorder and says each kid should have their personal one, how its not good to have spit inside the recorder even if it is used by another siblings, teethmarks on it left by her sister is disgusting and spoiling the kids love for music, a good gift to keep for mental stress etc etc bla bla...

I know its $10 maybe to get another but what's the big deal of sharing them. The kids mess around their own stuff and they don't ever mind sharing and eating each other's icecream! We can also wash them and it not like its being used outside of the family.

WWYD? Ignore the teacher? I can't believe she gave these reasons for us not to share one.[/quote]
