This was asked on the MLS Next thread. It doesn't matter. 1. NCLS is a glorified rec league. 2. Results and standing should not matter for U12 and U11.
1. no it isn't if you've ever actually watched rec soccer. I used to think that until I went and actually watched some rec games and was flabbergasted by how unskilled they all were in comparison to my son's div 4 team. 2. Results should always matter. It'd keep the big clubs propping up their u-little teams as better teams then they are in check. There are so many mismatched teams in the younger ages because they let the clubs place the teams for optics instead of skill level.
If you don't want your player's team's scores posted you should not be playing on a travel team. It's supposed to be competitive even in developmental ages. clubs don't want to upset parents by 'embarrassing' them because their future pro-player's team didn't win every game and everyone can see it.
Your ignorance is loud and proud Are they developing soccer skills or counting numbers on scoreboard? At youth littles, ncsl etc, the better developed team without a real goalie loses many times. The score doesn't reflect that.
Yeah, sure. Love that copy and paste there. That's as funny as the coaches who say they don't care if they win or lose. It's about the development at the game and then stand there and scream at the kids when they're losing. Scores matter so you don't have teams blowing out other teams they have no business playing. If the score is 10-0 every single person at the game knows what the score is, including the 8yo whether it's posted online or not. It's completely laughable when people try and claim that keep not posting scores is the right thing to do. Why would you want your kid not actually get development by either slaughtering other teams or getting slaughtered themselves? If anything, it makes kids quit the sport because of how lopsided the divisions are.
