I feel like many university departments (particularly in the humanities) have become lazy, reliant on their past grandeur and not doing much to foster innovation in their curriculum, major offerings, hands-on experiential learning, etc. I am not fixated on high earning potential, but I am fixated on knowing my kid will find meaningful employment that allows them to be a self reliant and self supporting adult.[/quote]
