The countertops are the last decision I need to make for our kitchen renovation and we are using the same stone for the counter and the backsplash so they need to be nice. I can't seem to find anything I like. The color of my new cabinets is a light taupe and I would love a beautiful marble-like quartz. I have not been able to find one. I went to the MSI showroom and a few slab showrooms in Sterling today and all the quartz looked very fake. I would consider but all the quartzite I saw was too dark and tonally wrong for our kitchen. I saw some marble I liked but according to my kitchen designer it will be 8,000 more than the quartz and difficult to care for. I feel very stuck on this decision. Can anyone point me in the direction of a very a good quartz (brand and style would be helpful), and/or specific stone yards that we should go any visit in person? I considered Daltile Valor White quartz but when I saw it in person I did not love it.
I mean, it's too late now, but you should have made all those choices before you started renovating your kitchen. You don't paint your cabinets until you know your countertop (and everything else).
