Knowing what you know about DC demogrpahic shifts and new charter schools, how competititive do you think the lotteries will be for Stuart Hobson or Hardy for the 2015-2016 school year for 6th grade? Will it be similar to now, or even harder to get in OOB? Thanks.
Given that it's under-subscribed, what is "even harder" supposed to mean? How difficult is just walking through the door?
SH 6th grade lottery for 2012-13 had about 115 applicants for 15 slots. I don't think anyone walked thru the door in September, but I might be wrong. In 2011-12, Hardy was underscribed for 6th, but in 2012-13, there were more 6th grade applicants than slots for the initial lottery. I don't know what happened this Sept, perhaps Hardy went thru the 6th grade wait list as student peeeled off to Basis, etc. But as of March OOB lottery (the only on line results without calling the school), both SH and Hardy were competitive for 6th.
