I know this is pathetic, but I've been putting off a regular exercise routine for months-- or all the usual reasons (work, family etc.) But in two weeks, I'm going on vacation to a beach resort and I would like to firm up as much as possible between now and then. I don't need to loose weight--I'm just kind of soft. I'm 50 and weight 140. Any advice would be very much welcomed!
Not reading the other responses, just came to tell you what worked for me. 41 and 148 lbs. Lost 3-4 lbs in 2 or 3 weeks with these three things: 1. Committed to walking at least one mile per day 2. Did strength training every day (sit ups, lunges, squats, twists, etc while holding or moving a 15 lb dumbbell.) 3. Cut down on carbs and overall calorie count It got me exactly where I wanted to be with tone and weight.
