Republicans are so two-faced.  You say that we have to cut the budget.  Now a bunch of generals say they can't even use the tanks being produced because they are oversupplied, and now some schmuck who pretends he's the budget cutter is going to be committed to saving the damn thing because of what he said in a swing state.  And the generals are not going to know what to do with these extra tanks but it actually costs money to maintain them even if we don't use them.

You probably don't realize that we do export that shit, and once a line shuts down, it's permanent.  Love to know the union's view. They're generally with the big guy on EVERYTHING he says and does,  they cool with it? Me thinks not. [/quote]

A.  If they had export orders, they would not have to shut down.
B.  If you read the article, it isn't permanent.  The plant will spend about $400 million to keep operational until we need tanks again.
