You should have have called your insurance company last night. They will sort it all for you.
+1, call them immediately. When this happened to me they handled everything-- told me which body shop to take the car to, met me there and then drove me to the rental place, rental was paid for (they recover from other car's insurance), etc. I should say they only handled the stuff related to the car. I also had a settlement with the other driver's insurance for pain and suffering. I didn't use a lawyer and wound up getting a nominal amount. In retrospect I should have at least gone to see a doctor to get checked out and asked for more money and negotiated a little more. But I wasn't badly injured (just a little sore and shaken up) so this didn't occur to me.
So you were trying to scam for pain and suffering and you admit just a little sore and shaken up? People like you are why insurance is so high ,scammers
NP. I was once in a minor accident and felt fine at the time but then had some neck pain a few days later. With current understanding of whiplash and head injuries, my new rule is that after ANY accident I go in for a checkup. And I am hardly ever see doctors otherwise. It's not scamming--it's understanding how head/neck injuries can play out.
