For those looking for an edge, my social sciences (history, sociology, or poli sci) kid got into a competitive STEM-heavy school. He was an "academic diversity" applicant 😉 according to AO. Srsly, they said they were low on non-STEM boys.

He's adding business minor 2nd year.

Undergrad is the new high school.

Girls do this all the time at Stanford for CS...they have the background/ECs and LOR to be a history or english major (and don't list all their CS awards on the activities sheet) and then get a double major (or switch entirely) at Stanford....its a known thing.
