Went to a dealership and the lying and upselling was too much for me. Do you know of any dealerships that set a price and you take it or leave it? I’d prefer a Toyota but will consider Nissan and Subaru.
You did the right thing by walking away from the dealership. Are they calling you? Sometimes they come around.
Yes. We made an appointment to test drive a car. When we showed up, the car was already “sold.” I was ready to leave then but knew spouse would not like me to do that. We test drove another car. But sales guy said it was on a test drive, and we had to wait 15 min. Another lie so he could question us. Then a guy came by and dropped off the keys, so we test drove a different car. Sales guy left us in the parking lot in 100-degree heat while he ran back inside to “get something for us.” The thing he needed to get was the teenager he sent with us in the car because allegedly there were “no dealer plates” available. They contacted spouse and now car that was “sold” is magically available for sale. The sales guy told me he is very honest. I can’t imagine being such a sleaze for a living. All the woman work the phones. Only men are salespeople at this dealership. OP
LOL. You are correct to be absolutely done with these people. Moving on!
