I only did a day trip to the beach in Valencia but it is a 30+ minute trek out there and it seems more like your classic beach with some waves and you can't exactly swim like you are in a lake.  I like being able to take a quick swim but maybe there are other spots right in Valencia to cool down or the water is calmer in summer (I imagine it is somewhat calmer than in march!).

Decisions, decisions!! I don't think we will do a language class either, way too much money and energy, but we'll do prep in advance and practice together while there....playgrounds are honestly perfect spots to practice those skills. [/quote]
