There are numerous apps for improving vocabulary, but it’s just something you have to do often and repeatedly for it to stick. You can try flash cards, sentence writing, story writing using new words, memory games, board games, apps, structured programs.

Learning things like synonyms, antonyms, and idioms might help too. Also learning prefixes/suffixes/root words/morphographs helps a LOT, especially for advanced words.
