We moved to Montgomery County because of the schools, and now, we are moving out for the exact same reason. MCPS has been deteriorating on so many levels over the last decade. It feels like watching a car wreck in slow motion. Our kids deserve better.
It really is sad. I remember when we decided to start a family in MoCo almost 20 years ago. My god we were proud to be in one of the nations best school systems. I was elated when after scrimping and saving that we were able to buy in W school district. We had arrived! My DS graduated last year and it sad and shocking how far the whole system has fallen. What was once a shining light is now a hollowed out shell of its former glory. Anyone paying attention to the last 6-8 years saw it coming like a slow moving train wreck.
