It has been my experience that people who go to conferences are either there to be serious, in which case they don't cheat because they're there to network, or else they're there to party, which means the same stuff it usually means. It's just a lot easier for there to be no longterm consequences if it's a one-time thing at a conference that happens once a year than someone you work with.

Basically, I think most people who cheat do so because there is an opportunity. Some people go pretty far out of their way to create opportunities, in and out of town. Your BIL might actually just be going to conferences to meet people and network. That doesn't mean he's cheating. He is allowed to have interests, hobbies, and a family.[/quote]
