- BOE tried to get rid of ES reading initiative teachers, and MCCPTA had every single cluster rep include at least a line in their testimony about keeping them (they stayed)
- advocated for safe drinking water in all schools (did you know some schools someone has to flush the lines every single day or they have to close the water fountains?)
- make the pie bigger.  Again, every cluster, instead if saying "we need xxx" testified to make the pie bigger/increase funding [they did].

There's more, but you get the gist.  They also can help arrange for sister schools (wealthy school partner with less wealthy school and raise funds or collect items for the less wealthy school), advocate for additions/renovations/new schools when overcrowded[/quote]
