It's a research-based assessment, created by psychologists with PhDs and developed over many years in clinical research labs. If your child has ADHD/autism/whatever diagnosis, it's not the only assessment they'll need to take in the course of their childhood. These questions are meant to be asked and answered in a private and confidential setting, in an atmosphere of trust. No one goes to jail for answering yes. They are meant to help the assessor reach an accurate diagnosis and HELP the patient with the appropriate treatment, pharmacological and/or therapeutic. YOUR FAMILY IS BEING HELPED. Don't act like an ignorant classless lout and make the most of what a label can offer your child in school. The school is not allowed to report any of this to future colleges. It's best your kid get the help they need with a 504 than they continue getting bad grades and being thought of as stupid and lazy by their teachers. [/quote]
