Thank you - that's very good to hear. DC is currently committed to CNU and was admitted this week to GMU CEC off the waitlist. As a much larger school, we do have concerns about them getting "lost in the shuffle," but we've also heard very good things about the supports that GMU provides (like EFP and MASI), and their disabilities office in general.

What college will he be in? GMU tries very hard to work with students with any type of disability.  Maybe he can talk to a student currently at GMU with a similar profile.  You will always have some professors who are putting up obstacles no matter where you go, but there is definitely institutional support [/quote]

Thank you. He will be in CEC, which we understand is fairly rigorous and competitive. You certainly haven't been the first person to state that GMU does alot for students with disabilities - hoping that includes learning in addition to physical.

We'll attend an admitted student's tour next week and will try to glean more information between now and then. Getting accepted off the waitlist is a great blessing, but you definitely have to scramble!![/quote]
