But I don't think there is as much danger of damage, the worst is probably having the lights of the cars shine into your windows more often than in some other location. I definitely would not put a bedroom facing the street if you are early or light sleeper. Planting shrubs and thicker living fence type of thing should take care of this problem, so can blackout curtains to some extent. [/quote]
