Are you talking about the Unstuck and On Target program? It is supposed to be very good for rigidity and making positive choices. We did it through CAAT (I don't think there are a ton of other locations), and it was useful (although not earth-shattering). It might depend on the issues your particular kid has and what you want to focus on. It's a parent and child program that lasts about 10 (12?) weeks.

I would find out what type of therapy is the recommendation. You can find good 1:1 therapists using different approaches at many different places.[/quote]

Anyone claiming 1:1 talk therapy is going to help your 7 year old with emotional regulation (at $300/hr out of network!) is  literally proposing you burn your time and money. At that age what helps is *parent* therapy to set up clear discipline & reward good behavior. Even OT which I don’t think much of for emotional regulation would be preferable because at least you’re only out $150/hr and may find an in network OT. [/quote]
