Can anyone recommend a place? The places that I've looked at are all small. Is there anything that's large that's almost like a college for old people with tons of social outlets? I do not want a place where we have to buy in at $500k or whatever it is? Anything out by Reston/Loudoun? Not interested in Maryland. Thanks for any help.
Have buy-in fees increased to $500K now? Oh my.
They are usually structured as 90% refundable though. In CCRC's the 90% first gets applied to your AL or nursing home care and any balance to your estate. It is how CCRC's are able to commit to lifetime care. It isn't out of reach for many people who owned their homes and can use the proceeds for the buy in.
