It's totally outrageous how local jurisdictions don't take excessively loud motor vehicle noise seriously. People treat 16th St in the District north of Oak St as a dragway. You can hear people gunning their obnoxiously tuned cars and motorcycles from a mile away as they fly up the road. Why is unnecessary and obnoxious sound pollution treated as acceptable in urban environments here? Other international cities don't put up with this crap.[/quote]
