Later in summer?[/quote] That poster is either trolling, using old information, or dialing in from one of the smallest elementary schools in the county. In practice, particularly now that MCPS is not doing kindergarten orientation the spring beforehand, schools know very little about the kids before they arrive. If a kid is in the MCPS system through PEP or Head Start, they'll know that, but the vast majority are unknown. That's why some schools have begun doing the "swap" method described above. [/quote]
