I believe UVA has to offer this to you when you apply to UVA initially.   You can’t just go to wise and transfer to UVA after a year. [/quote]

There are a few gotchas. First, you have to be waitlisted at UVA. If you aren't waitlisted, then it isn't open to you. Second, if you need financial aid, then you're in trouble.

Unfortunately, no. All institutional grants and scholarships are applied to full-time degree seeking students at UVA Wise. If you qualify for federal financial aid, UVA will package you accordingly upon transfer."
