From what I know about security at MV and Watkins Mill, security or someone in the main office has to let you in the building. Here is the email from MV principal about the incident: Good morning, Montgomery Village families, I’m writing to provide an update on an incident that occurred just after dismissal yesterday, Friday, May 3rd. At approximately 3:08 PM our security reported that the adult male relative of one of our students came onto our campus after receiving a text regarding a possible altercation. MVMS administration immediately contacted MCPS to report a possible trespasser on campus. At 3:10 PM, this adult entered the main office, followed by our security team and the Deans of Students where the student was being held. After reuniting with their relative, both the adult and the student were escorted out of the building and off campus. During which, the adult made several general threats. As a result of this disturbance, the threats, and the impact on the students who were still on campus, the MVMS administration spent the remainder of Friday afternoon working closely with MCPD and the Office of Safety and Security to conduct an investigation and take precautions to ensure that this person will not be allowed to trespass on our campus in the future, per MCPS COC-RA Trespassing or Willful Disturbance on MCPS Property. Please know that we take the safety of our students very seriously and will continue to work closely with our partners in MCPD and Safety and Security to ensure that our students are always safe. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me directly. Thank you and enjoy the rest of your weekend.
