You aren't seasoning it properly. It needs worcestershire sauce and either grated onion or minced garlic. Many add some tabasco or cayenne or both to give it a bite. You might play around with adding a couple of teaspoons of sugar as well. Using buttermilk instead of the mayo might work for you also -- about 2 parts sour cream to one part buttermilk and nix the mayo. That gives it a tang that goes well with the blue cheese flavor. PP, here.  I don’t know about garlic, onion and Tabasco?  The lemon juice in my recipe gives it the tang, which you speak of. [b] Yes, my recipe is simple, but I love it.  [/b]Using a block of good blue cheese makes a big difference.[/quote]

So why are you posting about needing something better if you love it so much? Worcestershire and Tabasco are both very common ingredients in blue cheese dressing recipes, and onion and garlic are common in dressing period.[/quote]

I’m not the OP.  I really like my dressing recipe.  That said, will try it with some Worcestershire, onion and garlic.  Maybe I’ll love it?  I will pass on adding Tabasco…and I really like Tabasco.[/quote]
