It sounds like you have already been very generous! If the rest of the group has something big they want to buy, how many people are chipping in for it? They can all just add a little more to their individual contributions and get the item; don't let them feel like they *need* you to contribute or else they can't get it. Of course they can get it! What they mean is that they don't want to have to spend more money, but it sounds like you've done way more than your share already.
