Ask your psychiatrist about long term issues. There is overwhelming evidence that kids with untreated ADHD self medicate and have more problems with substance abuse. Stimulants “wash out of your system quickly” and don’t accumulate, so yes, if he’s not on the medication that day/summer you will see the same problems.[/quote]
