If the schools are paying football players directly, then they are going to have to pay female athletes an equal amount. It's about numbers. The basketball teams cancel out. D1 football as has 85 scholarship. Softball and volleyball are both 12 scholarships. That leaves 61 that have to be balanced [/quote]
