DD has been exploring options close to home, including community college. But have recently been eyeing https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_the_District_of_Columbia Do they give alot of financial aid scholarships? How is the program overall for liberal arts.?
Weird that you inserted a Wikipedia link. UDC is a community college. I actually think the campus in Van Ness isn't bad in the scheme of things, and it's larger than at first appearance if you walk through it. Are you a DC resident? I think there are some free to no-cost programs for DC residents, but nothing for non-DC. I certainly wouldn't study liberal arts at UDC. You want to study accounting or any number of practical majors. I don't believe there are any auto-transfer rights anywhere out of UDC. I would definitely pick Montgomery College or NOVA CC over UDC if those are your in-state options.
UDC is not a community college. It *has* a community college as part of the larger system but it is a full university with undergraduate and graduate students.
Ok, but you don’t have to apply…you just enroll.
