You have to be 15 to be a jr. coach because you must be lifeguard certified. They also coach pre-team. They are paid a stipend of $600 for tax reasons. They rotate shifts but it’s a lot of time investment. Most do it for the fun and camaraderie, not for the $$. Some teams don’t even pay and get SSL hours only. Being paid is a luxury only some of the bigger teams can afford. [/quote]
