Hi there, I know this doesn’t seem that important but we are moving to the area for next year and my daughter will be in 8th. She’s very into cheer and dance and is currently on her middle school cheer squad. Do MCPS middle schools even have cheer? A friends daughter mentioned her school didn’t, I was just wondering if any do? Thanks in advance.
We moved from out of state and to say our daughter was bummed out about this is an understatement. MCPS does not provide the same opportunities as many other schools across the country do, I'm not sure why it's considered such a good school district. Our gifted and talented program at our school was much more intense and it absolutely was not lottery based. Kids that qualified for G/T services were provided them without question. This move has been a letdown.
You’re preaching to the choir. There are pluses and minuses here though—it’s not all bad (though this depends on what school you’re at).
