This makes me feel larger chains are better because they offer more PTO. My kid was really sad about this teacher and her child leaving. This particular school has lots of holidays and teacher in-service days. They like to brag it's not a daycare even though most kids are there all day. It was off-putting when the director told me we aren't a daycare teachers don't have time to talk much at pickup. I was simply asking a question and got lectured that I must set up meetings to discuss anything. Taking time off work is hard and I'm pretty sure these teachers aren't paid for after-school meetings.
