Her: Hey! I'm en-route to Niagara Falls with Larla to watch the eclipse.

Her: It should be from Niagara Falls because it's in the path of totality. I'm on my way there now. 
Me: I hope you have a good time! Are you guys coming back right away or staying overnight?
Her: Well we might not be able to find a place because Niagara is in the path of totality and they declared a state of emergency due to the crowds. I'm with Larla. 
Me: Well have a wonderful time either way! Say hi to Larla for me. 
Her: Yeah, we're on our way to Niagara right now. The traffic is crazy. They're expecting so many people, they declared a state of emergency.  It's in the path of totality.

It's a silly little thing and I try not to let it bug me. But I feel like she thinks I'm stupid or something.
