I don't see vivid images in my head as I read, so that's possible. But also this might just not be for me overall. Yes, aware of the Bataan death march. Horrifying. Also don't need more of those images in my head. Someone told me a story once about some kids on the death march, where one of the kids got such blisters they couldn't walk - and their siblings had to leave them behind to die.
