Women’s college coaches don’t have tons of money and so even if your daughter is hanging with the boys in high school no college coaches will have the money to come to the game.

But realistically, she’s going to need to switch in 8th or 9th grade anyway, because if she is still able to play significant minutes on the boy’s club team as a high school freshman, then the boy’s team is probably not competing at a high enough level.

I’ve seen U17 girls ECNL teams do pretty well against U13 boys, but by U15 the size and speed just makes it unworkable.

One caveat, if your daughter is playing MLSn or ECNL boys soccer at 16, then you already know that you have a world class athlete, and you probably aren’t posting on DCUM. But if somehow you ended up here, then your daughter is in a different league and schools like Stanford and UNC will absolutely come to see her play on the boy’s side, and she probably already has a USYNT ID clinic call up.[/quote]
