The abattoir does the slaughtering and processing - the smelly stuff. The butcher just breaks the animal down - way less smelly. This chicken place is the poultry equivalent of an abattoir, hence the smell.[/quote] This. Most butcher shops are not slaughterhouses.[/quote]
