First of all they get paid $100 a month but the term "slave" invokes the rounding up of these Asians, putting them on a boat and forcing them to work at the factory. They work in  these factories because it's a better life than working on the farms.

By the way I know most of you hate capitalism, and you focus on the man that had the brains and foresight to create Nike, but you forget the hundreds of thousands of employees, their kids who got sent to college due to their parents Nike salary, the millions he's given to Oregon, the pensioners who have owned the stock etc etc. Again, we all have free will. Control your children. Set goals and expectations early. If you teach your kids it's ok to spend all their money on a pair of shoes that do nothing for them athletically instead of working in the gym to better their game then YOU have failed as a parent not Phil Knight.
