Good luck to your DD! I am a boarding school grad and absolutely loved it. My kids are dayschool bound, but with a different income and a different set of interests, they could easily be in your shoes. :) And I'm sure you'll get some DCUMers here talking about how you are shipping your kids off to reform school because you don't love them. Ignore.
OP here- thanks I am also a boarding school grad so I fully understand the benefits of boarding for the right kid. I have an older child for whom boarding would not be the right choice at all. But DD really wants it and I think she will benefit. I just hate the staggered decision release and the tight deadlines. We’re doing all the revisits for day schools and all that with the hopes that we won’t select one? Frustrating. And frankly I feel badly holding up a spot it we won’t take it as I know there are plenty of people waitlisted. I guess I’m glad I’m not the only one??
